The Sea-Side“Squatter”
As a fellow saltwater clammer, I should have known better when I quietly arrived seaside and made the initial and automatic conclusion that the woman “squatting” in the shallow water in front of me was unabashedly relieving herself. In stead, I learned as a bit of time passed, that she was actively digging for clams in a crouched position with her socked feet and toes!
