About ~ Look Beyond

AVILA’S ABBEY is an online archive of articles, media and accessories discovered initially to organize resources of PURE interest for just about everything under the sun and then some!  Eventually, critical circumstances and cultural issues led to the need for serious discernment and a search for truth.

On this path seeking clarity and understanding, what has been discovered and alleged has been ASTOUNDING, both in good ways and in bad.  Though, according to St. Paul’s letter to the Romans:

We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. ~ Romans 8:28

With this inspired hope and the abundance of information that faithful experts and brave digital warriors have revealed, we wish to observe the effects of some of the distorted and diminished stumbling blocks and the impact they have on our selves and our culture.  We also share hidden truths of the TRUE, GOOD & BEAUTIFUL things that replenish and restore our lives.

While these stepping stones are primarily wonderful, some information shrouded in DARKNESS & TRAGEDY may cause us to feel BAMBOOZLED and may COMPEL us TO STAND UP!  FEAR NOT!  PROVIDENCE, GRACE & COURAGE ABOUNDS for the EYES that SEE and the EARS that HEAR to ACT!

Please MARVEL with us and other fellow, friendly PILGRIMS as we unite peacefully and joyfully on our journey home!

Gospel JN 17:20-26

Lifting up his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed saying:
“I pray not only for these,
but also for those who will believe in me through their word,
so that they may all be one,
as you, Father, are in me and I in you,
that they also may be in us,
that the world may believe that you sent me.
And I have given them the glory you gave me,
so that they may be one, as we are one,
I in them and you in me,
that they may be brought to perfection as one,
that the world may know that you sent me,
and that you loved them even as you loved me.
Father, they are your gift to me.
I wish that where I am they also may be with me,
that they may see my glory that you gave me,
because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
Righteous Father, the world also does not know you,
but I know you, and they know that you sent me.
I made known to them your name and I will make it known,
that the love with which you loved me
may be in them and I in them.”

“Keep a fire burning in your eye,

pay attention to the open sky,

you never know what will be coming down…”
